What to Expect When you enter the EAHMC, you are first greeted by our multi-talented receptionist, who will assist you with signing in, clarifying your health issue, receiving payment, and otherwise preparing you to see the Family Nurse Practitioner. He or she will obtain your vitals, escort you to the exam room, and may initiate appropriate testing or other preparatory work. Next, one of our Advanced Practice Nurses/Family Practitioners will conduct a thorough, problem-focused exam, give a diagnosis in easy to understand language and then provide treatment, including prescription if necessary. After treatment, a follow-up appointment will be made with your local family physician to ensure your recovery. If you do not have a local physician, we will assign you one from our rotating schedule.
